Equestrian Helmet Bag

Equestrian Accessories

A three-layer helmet bag for riders who compete, train and travel. Waterproof on the outside, foam-protected on the base and all four sides, vented so a damp helmet dries overnight — and with a clear ID window for the name card every competition asks for.

Equestrian Helmet Bag

Three-layer protection, made under your brand

The shell is 600D Oxford with a thick waterproof backing, so rain, wet arena sand and tack-room damp do not soak through to the foam. Inside, a foam core wraps the base and all four sides and the bag is shaped to the helmet, so it holds its form in the boot or on the shelf instead of collapsing around the shell.

Two details do the real work in a yard. A vent behind the zip, closed with hook-and-loop, lets a wet helmet breathe after a ride — close it again for the trip home. And a clear ID window on the side takes a name card or competition number, so the right helmet always goes to the right rider.

Where the money went Product gallery

Six photos of the current standard build. Every one of them is a decision a buyer usually has to ask about — here they are before you ask.

Helmet bag, front view
01 · Front Two ways to carry it Short grab handle for the yard, adjustable shoulder strap for the walk in from the car park.
Helmet bag, side view
02 · Side It opens wide Double zip runs the full length, so a helmet goes in without being forced past the shell.
Helmet bag, vent aperture on the side
03 · Vent It can actually breathe Open the hook-and-loop flap after a wet ride so the lining dries. Close it again for transport and rain.
Helmet bag, base
04 · Base Foam under, not just around The core runs across the base as well as the four sides — a dropped bag does not pass the impact straight through.
Helmet bag, clear ID window on the side
05 · ID window It says whose it is A clear window pocket takes a name card or competition number — useful on a shared tack-room shelf, essential at a show.
Helmet bag opened, looking inside
06 · Inside Mesh, not a solid wall 210D lining with a mesh face over the foam, so moisture has somewhere to go instead of sitting against the shell.

Your branding

Your mark goes on, ours stays off Private label

Every bag ships with your branding, not ours. The sample shown carries a screen-printed logo on the side face — that is the standard print position, and it is where most brands put their name.

Screen print
Side face, single or multi-colour. Cheapest route and the standard for most brands.
Embroidery
Higher perceived value; suited to crests and larger marks.
Woven label
Woven into the seam or sewn on — the finish buyers expect on premium lines.
What makes it different

Three details most helmet bags leave out Feature detail

It dries out

A helmet that goes away wet comes out smelling of the stable. A vent behind the zip — closed with hook-and-loop — lets the lining breathe after a ride, and closes again for transport or rain.

It says whose it is

A clear window on the side takes a name card or competition number. On a shared tack-room shelf or at the show, that is the difference between "someone's helmet" and yours.

It keeps its shape

Foam on the base and all four sides, and the bag is cut to the helmet profile. It stands up in the boot instead of folding around the shell, and a dropped bag does not pass the impact straight through.

Construction

Only one of these layers stops the water Waterproofing

"Waterproof" on a helmet bag usually means the outer shell and nothing else. Here is the whole stack, outside in, and which layer is doing the work.

Layer cross-section of the helmet bag, from outside in: 600D Oxford woven outer face, abrasion-resistant; waterproof backing bonded behind the Oxford, where water stops; foam core on the base and all four sides, cut to the helmet profile; 210D mesh lining, soft against the helmet and breathing through the vent.

The Oxford is the layer you see, and on its own it only resists water — a woven fabric wets out in steady rain. The backing is what makes the shell waterproof, and the foam sits behind it, so whatever gets wet stays on the outside.

That is the part worth specifying. Foam is the one layer you cannot dry out: wet foam goes flat, holds the stable smell, and stops cushioning the shell. Keeping it dry is the same job the vent does from the other direction.

What we do and do not claim. The shell fabric is waterproof. The zip and the seams are stitched, not sealed, so in sustained rain treat the bag as water-resistant rather than a dry bag. If your market needs a fully sealed version, it takes a different zip and taped seams — tell us and we can quote it separately.
